The Daphni Monastery is located in the suburb of Chaidari in Athens. It is a byzantine monastery founded in the 11th century on an old Greek temple dedicated to Apollo. The interior is rich in mosaics characterized by radiant gold ground Daphni Monastery tesseral.

It is a Catholic cathedral but it was a beautiful Mosque considered as one of the most important monuments of Moorish architecture. It is really astonishing because of the brick-and-stone striped arches supported by 856 marble pillars .

SPOLETO CATHEDRAL

It was built from the second half of the 12th century after the city had been devastated . The church is essentially an example of Romanesque architecture. It´s the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Spoleto-Norcia created in 1821. It is dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The church of Agia Ekaterini has been constructed on top of an ancient temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis. The central part of the church dates back to the middle of the 11th century during the Byzantine period. It is the oldest example of the cross plan, four-columned church with the central dome that can be found in Athens.

The Cathedral is located on the site of the Great Mosque of Toledo. It was built from 1226 to 1493, a long period that reflects its variety of styles. It joints together the Gothic of France and the Spanish sensibility.

It is a Lombard-Gothic construction already existing in 1213, defined as one of Italy’s most beautiful squares. It is surrounded by some of the most impressive palaces of the communal period: Captain’s Palace (13th century), Priors’ Palace (14th century), The Cathedral 12th century).
