Fugger, as it is popularly known, was built in the first half of the 16th century.
According to recent research, this building could have been home to one of the collectors sent to Almagro by Fugger to run their business.
The most notable element of this cloister is undoubtedly the grand staircase, which is based on the typical pattern of staircases from the 16th century.

In 1484 Queen Leonor passed through Caldas and saw people swimming in the hot springs. So she asked the people why they were doing that, since the swimming wasn't very ordinary, and they said that the water had therapeutic powers. In order to test if it was true, she swam in the water because she had a medical problem and after a few months she recovered. So the next year she decided for the construction of a termal hospital which used only the hot springs. Before she passed away she said that it would be open for all the people who had serious illnesses.
